Prithviraj to Play Second Fiddle in Yash Raj’s Aurangzeb

It is now old news that Malayalam superstar is entering the stage of Bollywood through Aiyya as the male lead opposite Rani Mukerji. This young superstar is already noted down as a great new prospect for the Malayalam industry. He is now all set to enter the grand stage of Bollywood and there are high hopes about him delivering here as well. We don’t know as yet whether these pre-set high standards will bow him down but can only hope for the best.

Meanwhile, in a surprising development, he has reportedly agreed to play the second lead in Yash Raj Films’ new venture Aurangzeb. Arjun Kapoor, who shot to fame after his debut movie Ishaqzaade, is portraying the lead character in the film and is supposedly playing a double role. It is indeed strange that an established star like Prithviraj has decided to go second to the newcomer Arjun. After playing lead roles his entire career, it will be interesting to see how he adopts to the change. Meanwhile we can all wonder what made him make this surprising move. Is it the Yash Raj factor or have the plain imperialistic strategies of Bollywood over regional cinema worked again so that a regional star bows down to play a lesser role in the glittering world of Bollywood.
