James Bond Golden Jubliee celebration on October 5th of this year

The dark, mysterious and adventurous world of espionage was weaved by the James Bond series. Today the spy-film that grew the imaginations and interest of the audience on this theme, will rejoice its golden jubilee on the 5th of October 2012, which also marks Dr. No’s anniversary.

The 23rd of the James Bond franchise is named “Skyfall”, publicizing the 50th anniversary of our very own favourite “James Bond”. EON productions, MGM studios, 20th century Fox and Sony Pictures Entertainment have declared that 5th of October, will witness “Global James Bond Day”. The celebrations will continue throughout this day across the world.

Also a new documentary from MGM Pictures, Red Box Films, Passion Pictures and Columbia Pictures- “Everything or Nothing- The Untold Story of 007”- will also be released around this time. This documentary, directed by Stevan Riley of “Fire in Babylon” fame, concentrates on the shared vision of the two bond producers and author- Harry Saltzman, Albert R. Broccoli and Ian Fleming respectively. The franchise started producing this film in 1962 and since then has been able to churn out successfully one bond film after the other, making it the “longest running film franchise”.

Now fans can also own all the twenty-two Bond films in the form of ‘Bond 50’- which is a single collection of all the films on a Blu-ray disc- which will release on September 24th.
