The Malayalam romantic comedy Honey Bee became hugely popular when it was released. Now, the director of the film, Lal Junior (Jean Paul Lal), son of the actor director Lal has decided to make a sequel of the movie and the project is making headlines.
Making sequel has become a common trend if the original film has been successful. However, Junior Lal said that his aim of making a sequel is not to cash in on the success of the earlier film, but to reunite the cast for another exciting project.
In the original movie, Asif Ali, Bhavana, Baburaj, Sreenath Bhasi, Archana Kavi, Balu and Lal played important roles. According to sources, this original cast will be retained in the sequel. The story of the sequel will start exactly where the earlier film left off. Bhavna and Asif Ali are now married and they embark on their married life. The sequel revolves round how they deal with the problems of marriage and tackle their booze loving old friends.
The fun scenes and quick bites from the original Honey Bee will be preserved. The work on the film will probably start early next year because Junior Lal still has two projects in hand.
