The next Tamil film, Purampokku is going to present actors Arya and Vijay Sethupathi sharing screen space. The project is about to take off under the leadership of S. P. Jhananathan. The film will be produced by UTV Motion Pictures jointly with the director’s banner of Binary pictures. The film, as others directed by Jhananathan, is likely to be a mass entertainer while conveying a strong underlying message. The tagline “No man’s land” has been affixed to the title.
Director Jhananathan said that the story of the film revolves round how the land slated for public use are cornered by powerful individuals illegally. It will draw heavily on some incidents of the recent past and will be presented in a strongly commercial format. G. Dhananjayan, the chief of South Business, Disney UTV said that this film is going to be a “very different combo” with Arya and Vijay sharing screen space and directed by Jhananathan.
This will be the third time that the two actors will be seen together in a film. Arya and Vijay Sethupathi had shared screen space earlier inVettai and Settai. The search for a third hero and the leading lady is still under way.
