Padmapriya ties knot with Jasmine Shah

The popular South Indian actress Padmapriya Janakiraman has tied knot with Jasmine Shah. They got married in a private family function on 12th November at Mumbai. Jasmine is a Gujarati by birth .He is a post graduate in Mechanical Engineering from IIT and has also done his MBA in Public Administration. The two first met in New York City where they were both pursuing their Masters. Jasmine , who is more interested in the development sector, gave up his corporate career and started working in projects like Jaago Re One Billion Vote Campaign . He is now working as the policy head for South Asia with Jamal Abdul Lateef Poverty Action Lab.

Padmapriya is a national award winning actress. She made her debut in the Malayali film ‘Kaazcha’(2004).She has almost acted in 48 films across all south Indian language as well as Hindi and Bengali. She is herself a very educated woman though she has chosen the silver screen .She is a MBA in Finance from Kirloskar Institute and a Masters in Public Administration from New York University.

Her recent Movie ‘Iyoobine Pusthakam” is running well and has proved to be a hit. Padmapriya has decided to continue her career even after marriage.

Manju Warrier and Rima to act together in film Ragini Padmini

‘Ragini Padmini’, the upcoming film of popular director Aashiq Abu is set to feature two noted actresses Rima Kallingal and Manju Warrier. The film is said to have a women centered plot and Manju and Rima will be playing the titular characters . The rest of the casting members and other details are still not revealed. Some time back, reports came out that Rima Kallingal will be seen as the female lead in Aashiq Abu’s upcoming venture ‘Oppana’. But now reports suggest that the film has been delayed is for some undisclosed reason. The filming of ‘Ragini Padmini’ will begin as soon as Manju Warrier completes her work in the Sathyan Anthikad directed project, in which she is acting with superstar Mohanlal.

Manju Warrier recently inaugurated Mamangam, the dancing school run by Rima Kallingal. She is known to share a strong bond with the couple, Aashiq and Rima. She has stated in the past that Rima and Aashiq are among her closest friends in the industry. Rima also has always stated that she wants to work with Manju. Rima Kallingal currently has her hands full with her dance academy and acting in the upcoming film ‘Chirakodinja Kinavukal’ starring Kunchako Boban n the lead.

Asif Ali and Nikki in VK Prakash’s next

After Mammootty starrer film’ Silence’, film maker V K Prakash will take up his next venture in the Malayalam industry in the form of a family entertainer. For the lead roles of the film Asif Ali and Nikki Galrani has been chosen. The script of the film will be written by the duo of Bobby and Sanjay. The film’s shooting is slated set to start from the end of November. When contacted, VK Prakash said that it will be the first that he, Bobby and Sanjay are working together. He revealed that they discussed the script almost six years ago. The director chose Asif Ali because he felt that he will be able to represent the youth of today. According to the director, the story of the film will deal with family relationships like father- son, mother -son etc. The crew are planning to shoot the film in National Defence Academy campuses in places like Pune, Mysore and Kochi. Mysore. Prakash also added that the key roles in the film will be played by actors like- Shankar Ramakrishnan, Prem Prakash, Saiju Kurup, Sudheer Karamana and Nedumudi Venu. The crew is still looking for an actor who will play an important mother role.

Siddique-Lal making ‘King Liar’ with Dileep

Popular Malayalam actor Dileep who has been struggling at the box office with some of his recent films, may now have the perfect vehicle to get his career back on track. Dileep is slated to be a part of the film ‘King Liar’ which will also mark the return of screenwriter-director duo Lal-Siddique after a gap of almost 20 years. The film has been described by Siddique as a family entertainer and will revolve around a man who only tells lies. There are speculations that actor Mukesh who has featured in several films of Lal-Siddique will also act in ‘King Liar’. However that is yet to be confirmed. The pair of Siddique-Lal is behind some of the biggest hits in Malayalam film history like ‘Godfather’, ‘Kabooliwala’. Despite their success, the pair parted ways in 1993. The reason behind the split was never made clear.

The new film will be produced by Ouseppachan Valakuzhi and filming is most likely to begin in early 2015. It is expected that the film will reach theaters during the festival of Onam. Dileep is busy at present with the shooting of the film ‘Ivan Maryadaraman’ and has a tight schedule. He is also involved with Jeethu Joseph’s film ‘Life of Josutty’.
